Niamh is a joyful, loving girl. Not so long ago, she was abandoned on a country road with many other hounds. She was also hit by a car that very evening. Luckily, the group of dogs was noticed by good Samaritans and dispersed to rescue groups. Niamh found her way to us. She is a petite girl for a hound mix and has a partial docked tail that is always wagging. Niamh is a young adult and is happily adjusting to her foster home where she lives with dogs of all ages and sizes and even a few cats. Niamh put no weight on her front leg when she came to us and we considered amputation. However, after a new round of medication she started to put weight on her leg. She now only has a slight limp and will run and play with the other dogs in her foster home! The vet feels that she has the potential to make a full recovery. We want Niamh to have a life far from the one she left behind. She deserves a family who will admire her resilience and return the love that she is sure to devote to them.
