Operation Underdog, Inc

Operation Underdog at a Glance…

Operation Underdog was formed by a small group of individuals in 2012 to promote adoption and rescue placement of shelter and community animals in need.

We provide a monthly low cost spay and neuter trip to the public. This trip is offered at no charge to the comm unity other than the cost of the procedure. Approximately 300 dogs and cats are transported to the clinic to help decrease the number of unwanted litters and minimize the amount of animals brought into the shelter each year.

We work with rescue partners all over the United States. Operation Underdog volunteers work daily securing rescue and vetting for both community and shelter animals. We offer free out of state transport to shelters to assist them in maintaining low euthanasia rates. In 2018, we transport 997 animals to safety.

Operation Underdog also has animals available for adoption. Many of these animals were pulled from kill shelters when their time was up, rescued from lives of neglect as strays, or were taken into our care to prevent them from entering local shelters. Our adoption process includes an application, a home visit, and a contract. All underdogs are up to date with vaccinations, micro chipped, heartworm tested, and spayed or neutered. We occasionally have undercats available for adoption as well!

We are a volunteer based, 501c3 nonprofit organization. All of our animals live in foster care with loving families as we search for their forever homes.
When we have the funds, we assist with medical emergencies and offer free spays and neuters to those in need. We also assist with dog houses and straw when a dog has no shelter.
