"I am Gable and I come from Georgia. It's been a confusing few weeks. I haven't felt 100% you see, because I had a deadly parasite called heartworms. The underdog girls had me treated recently, and now I must rest quietly in my crate or on laps while the parasites leave my body. It's quite horrific, but my foster mom says that they have treated many HW positive pups who go on to find happy homes.  I feel lucky to be one of them. The first few days though, I was pretty uncertain. I hid under the furniture. There are lots of other dogs here. They are friendly and cool and I am perfectly nice to them and the cats, but I think I am more of a people dog. I found myself gravitating to the mom, dad, and little boy who live here. They say I might be a velcro pup in the making. I am not exactly sure what that means. I do know that I am starting to think that I will be okay. Some things still make me a little shy, like the camera. I'd rather bury my head under foster mom's sweater than take a photo. Hopefully someone will still notice me even though I don't seek the spotlight. I am about two years old and 40 lbs. Maybe someone out there is looking for a guy like me?
