This sweet boy is special needs. He was found as a stray by an individual and later turned into the local shelter. After being seen by two vets, we believe that he is totally blind in one eye and has very limited vision in the other. That being said, Stevie compensates well. He is a playful, active and comical pup. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and his special friend is a senior female who keeps a motherly eye on him. Stevie lives with cats as well. He tries to play with them, but they don’t seem too interested in his games. Stevie has mastered the stairs in his foster home and is very well behaved during nail trims! He is quiet in his crate and is working on house training as well. Stevie should be fed separately from other pets in the home. We would like him to have a fenced yard, both because he likes to romp in the long grass and because he runs after the sound of vehicles. He is a very loving pup and likes to snuggle on laps. His foster mom says he is very smart and responds best to a structured routine. We are looking for a loving family or adopter who has experience with dogs with visual impairments or an individual who is willing to learn how to help Stevie live his life to the fullest!
